This is a platform for curated projects with South Asian themes to find financial and artistic support. Every year, filmmakers with projects selected for the Market get numerous avenues to connect with Indian and international producers, distributors, sales agents and financiers active in the field of co-production.

Projects selected for the market will have the opportuity to forge international co-productions, find financial & artistic support, and network with Indian and international film professionals.

Film Bazaar is a platform created exclusively to encourage collaboration between the international and South Asian Film Fraternity. The Bazaar is focused on discovering, supporting and showcasing South Asian content and talent in the realm of filmmaking, production and distribution. A converging point got film buyers and sellers from all over the world, Film Bazaar also aims at facilitating the sales of world cinema in the South Asian region.

An evolving trade market for film industry professionals, Film Bazaar is committed to discover and support significantly compelling talent from South Asia and address key concerns of the world film community in the dynamic domain of film development, production, and distribution. From 2007 onwards FB is a converging point for buyers and sellers of film rights and is aimed at facilitating sales of world cinema in the South Asian region and the promotion of Indian Cinema in the international domain.

Organised annually alongside the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) at the Goa Marriott Resort, the market is a gamut of activity where delegates buy, sell, exhibit and pitch their content. Film Bazaar is owned and organized by National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC), a corporate entity under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB), Government of India.

Selected filmmakers pitch their projects to an audience of industry professionals.

Selected filmmakers attend 20-minute meetings to discuss project specific goals.

Sony Gomes is a dance choreographer from the Malayalam film industry, with over two and a half decades of experience as a stage performer and as a dance master. Some of his students have gone on to become models and actors, and have garnered awards. His signature style is a mix of a variety of genres—from classical dance forms such as bhartanatyam, mohiniyattam, kathak, and kathakali to dance-room, folk and street forms such as disco, hip-hop, and the dappan koothu. Additionally, he has composed the music for, and directed, a music video; and has successfully attempted the film-reviewing stunt.
