FTII film appreciation courses in July

Two film appreciation courses are being conducted by FTII-Pune, in association with the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF) and the National Film Archive of India (NFAI), in  July. One is a 5-day course, which would Include screening of film classics, both Indian and international, in Jaipur. The other is a 20 days foundation course in screenplay writing, in New Delhi.

 

Medium of Instructions: The medium of instruction would be mainly English and partly Hindi. Participants are expected to have adequate knowledge of English and/ or Hindi as regards to reading, writing and speaking.

Accommodation: Outstation candidates may please note that as the course is non–residential, no accommodation would be provided or arranged.

Short listing: Selected candidates would be communicated by email. Once admission is offered, same cannot be cancelled. Course fee of selected candidates is non–refundable. DDs of all non–selected candidates would be returned within 7-10 days.

 

5-day course film appreciation course, in Jaipur

Venue: Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur

Date: Jul 26 – 30

Time: 10 am – 5:00 pm

Course directors/faculty: Mr. Subhamoy Sengupta and Ms. Bela Negi

Age Limit: The applicant should have completed 18 years of age as on 01-04-2017.

Fees: Rs. 1,500/-

How to apply: Download the application form, fill in all the details, attach the required DD in favour of ‘’ Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur”, payable in Jaipur only, along with the filled application form. Application must reach “Additional Director General (Tech.), Jawahar Kala Kendra, J.L.N. Marg, Jaipur – 302004 on or before July 10 by 5:00 pm.

Write on envelope of application at top left: “Application for 5 days course in Film Appreciation”. Incomplete applications and applications received after due date & time will be summarily rejected.

Certificates: All participants would be given participation certificates on successful completion of the course.

Attendance: Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory.

20 days Foundation Course in Screenplay Writing for 24 participants, in New Delhi

Venue: Siri Fort Auditorium Complex, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi

Dates: Jul 21 – Aug 12 (Sundays off)

Time: 10:00 am – 06:00 pm

Fees: Rs 25,000/-

How to apply: Download application form from website, fill all the details, attach a valid Demand Draft of Rs 25,000/- drawn in favour of “Accounts Officer, Film & Television Institute of India, Pune”, payable at Pune and speed post or deliver it by hand to reach the same on or before 05th June 2017 by 5 pm.

Write on envelope of application at top left: “Application for Foundation Course n Screenplay Writing”. Incomplete applications and applications received after due date & time will be summarily rejected.

Selection criteria: First–come–first–served basis. However, the course/s will be conducted only if the minimum strength of 20 participants per course is reached.

Certificates: All participants would be given participation certificate on successful completion of the course. Minimum 90% attendance is mandatory.
