Every film that has been selected in MAMI 2017 is possibly in a class of its own. “Undoubtedly the best film festival in India—227 films from 58 countries in 51 languages,” says Amit Khanna. However, since there is a limit to the number of films that one can view, here’s a list of recommended films. Picked from individual lists put up by reviewers such as Raja Sen, Aseem Chhabra, Mihir Fadvanis, and Ankur Pathak, and filmmakers such as Bijaya Jena. This ought to suffice for a general view.
