Aimee Baruah’s Semkhor is the opening film of Kautik 2021

The fifth edition of the Kautik International Film Festival, organized by HIMACEEF in association with the District Administration of Almora and the Mahasser Fishing Camps, has announced its list of nominations. In the competition sections are 7 feature films, 7 documentaries, 16 short fiction films, and 5 animation films. The festival is scheduled to take place Dec 3-5 at the outer zone of the Jim Corbett National Park. This year, there would be two film screens.

The opening film is Aimee Baruah’s Semkhor, which incidentally is also the opening film of the Panorama section of the upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

Six separate jury panels, each comprising three members, were set up. Amrit Pritam, Aseem Chhabra, Dnyanesh Moghe, Dipsikha Bhagawati, Himanshu Khatua, Monita Borgohain, Paresh Kamdar, Prashant Naik, Resul Pookutty, Subhash Sahoo, Sudhir Tandon, Surendar Chaudhury, and Umamaheswara Rao are the jury members from India. Aleksandra Biernacka (Poland), Charlotte Summers (Spain), Judy Gladstone (Canada), Monjrul Islam Megh (Bangladesh), and Simone Mariani (Italy) are the international jury members. The awards ceremony would take place on the evening of the closing day.
